Partnership Writers Initiative
The Challenge
Make the hottest ticket in town accessible to the young artists that the show champions.
The Solution
We partnered with the Stephen Sondheim Foundation, the American Theater Wing's Jonathan Larson Grant, and American Express to launch the Rooftop Writers Initiative, inviting writers under 35 to answer, "What motivates you to write?"
The Result
100 young writers were chosen to receive two complimentary tickets to the show, including a special talkback with the cast, moderated by Benj Pasek. In addition to seeing the show, we also showcased the work of our winners on our social media pages, giving these talented writers a significant platform to share their art with the world.
